Around this time of year, the Virtuoso Life team – along with some thousands of Virtuoso travel advisors and industry professionals from nearly 100 countries – heads to Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas, where we descend on the halls of the Bellagio, Vdara, and Aria resorts. At the world’s biggest luxury travel conference (we like to call it the Fashion Week of Travel), advisors connect with representatives from hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and global destination partners, shopping for new vacation ideas and exclusive perks for their clients.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Virtuoso Week is going virtual for the first time, and while things may look different, the value of connections is still just as important. Coronavirus will be a much-discussed topic, as we’re set to share key data, insights, and on-the-ground anecdotes about the state – and future – of travel. We’ll be posting event highlights on Twitter – follow us there for updates.

With our annual pilgrimage on pause, we brainstormed a few ways to bring Sin City to us. (Because what happens in Vegas … can definitely happen at home too.) If you know and love Vegas, you’ll find pleasure in many of these ideas. And if you’ve been to a Virtuoso Travel Week or seven, some of these may hit very close to home.

Acquire a nice set of Champagne flutes (and some bubbly to fill them with).

Whip up a cocktail from our favorite Las Vegas bars.

Walk 16,000 steps around your neighborhood in your best shoes.

Make Momofuku’s Bo Ssam for dinner.

Milk Bar – one of our favorite stops for a late-night (or early-morning) treat in Vegas – delivers! Have a few confetti cookies or a birthday cake shipped to your house.

Buy a bunch of scratch-off lottery tickets at the store, make your partner blow on them for good luck, and whisper, “Big money, big money!” while scraping them with a penny.

Throw on your finest sequined gala gown – or blazer.

Turn your living room into a nightclub with a disco ball …

… and set up your own bottle service station on your coffee table.

Find an online video of the Bellagio Fountains show, enter full-screen mode, and tell Alexa to play by “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra.

See a Cirque du Soleil show.

Mask up and make a run to Walgreens and CVS to buy all your favorite snacks for fuel between Virtuoso Travel Week’s ten-minute appointments.

Longing for that speed-dating energy of Virtuoso Travel Week? Ring a bell every ten minutes and have your family rotate around the living room.

Air kiss your virtual appointments – it’s the safest kind of kiss.

Order room service delivery at 1 a.m. (Our faves: Pizza, buffalo wings … or both.)

Every year after Virtuoso Travel Week’s Opening Ceremony, hundreds of Bellagio employees line the hall and cheer as attendees walk from the conference space to the reception. At home, ask your family to clap for you as you walk down the hall to dinner.

Set up a selfie station in your living room. (Don’t forget the #VirtuosoTravel!)

Plug in a mini humidifier next to your bed. (That dry heat!)

Book a massage to recover from your “Vegas” trip.
