To stay fit on a cruise, you know the drill: Take the stairs, skip dessert, hit the gym. It’s sound advice, but not exactly fun. Which is why we’re impressed by Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new Seven Seas Wellness program, offered aboard Seven Seas Voyager’s Mediterranean sailings through September. The program pairs active excursions with indulgent treatments at the ship’s Canyon Ranch SpaClub.
Here are three reasons we love it:
Instead of trips to the gym or taking laps around the deck, the wellness activities take place in some of the Med’s most scenic spots – think tai chi at the Pharo Palace in Marseille, France, and taking the waters at Italy’s Stufe di Nerone baths.
Back on board, relax with your choice of one of five 50-minute Canyon Ranch spa treatments, ranging from foot massages to facials, as well as body wraps and scrubs.
It’s Great Value.
Reserved à la carte, each included spa treatment runs approximately $200. But with the program, you get one excursion and one treatment for $299. While Regent includes basic sightseeing excursions in the cruise fare, excursions like the ones mentioned above would cost between $200-$900. You could even think about it as booking a premium shore excursion and getting a free spa treatment. The $299 per-person, per-pairing price tag (limited to 20 people) is a great value if you want to try new things.
